Botanical Tree

Botanical TreeI usually purchase digital stamps from Power Poppy, but when I saw the new Botanical Tree stamp set from Power Poppy, I knew that I had to have it (along with another that I’ll show off later). It comes with a variety of sentiments and smaller stamps  as well (I can see those JOY and PEACE stamps on gift tags as well as cards).

The hardest part about this stamp was to pick a harmonizing color palette. I wanted the roses to stand out so I picked bolder colors (R35, R46, R59), but didn’t want them to compete with the poinsettias so I selected softer colors for them (E51, R81, R83). After that, the other colors just fell into place. Since there is so many small leaves, I stuck to my favorite green combination (YG21, YG03, YG17, YG67) because it is so easy to blend. Add a bright red border and a few pop dots for dimension and you have a clean and simple card ready for the holiday.
