Blossoming Feline

I’ve been eyeing the new Laurel Bush stamps by Stampendous and I finally broke down today and bought some. The style and the colors are out of the norm for me, but that’s exactly why I wanted to color them. Although I have to admit that having a household of cats was certainly a determining influence as well!

Laurel Burch’s style is very distinctive as is her color palette. Stampendous has developed a Copic Marker Coloring Guide for this line of stamps which I used for guidance, but substituted when I needed an expanded selection to create some of the blending. Since it was my first, I followed an illustration of the original to practice her style, but it is truely an image where anything goes!
