Marcella has big plans for the Power Poppy Instant Garden and the news is exciting! Each month’s digital download will have a theme – a color story – featuring images that include groupings of plants, insects, birds, and various little “props” for a scene to challenge the colorist.

The theme for January is “Rosé All Day” — a new digital image featuring flowers that are naturally reds, pinks, and whites such as Roses, Redbud branches, and Cyclamen hederifolium. Marcella has added in a few paint brushes and a colored pencil, along with a ladybug and bumblebees.  Think of it as a way to expand your skills and push your coloring boundaries.

Here, I’m pushing my own coloring boundaries by trying some no line coloring. Still a work in progress and not quite ready for prime time, but who knows? With a little more practice ….
