Happy Together by Penny Black

I woke up this morning with all sorts of good intentions of the things that I was going to get done today. I got up early, got a load of laundry in the washer, and settled in at my desk to organized all of my recent craft purchases (new stamps and dies!). Then it happened – my laptop crashed. To be honest, my laptop was at least 6 years old and had been showing signs of failure for several weeks, but I’d been putting off the expense of a new one. My computer backup is continuous and automatic — at worse, I’d lose a few minutes of work — so I danced pretty close to the edge with this laptop knowing that my files were safe.

However, I forgot how long it takes to reinstate the backup and get all of my software reinstalled.  So it’s now 5PM and while my files are slowly reloading from the backup — 17 hours to go — I’m just now getting back to where I was at 8AM when the day was young and I was giddy with good intentions.

Today, I’m featuring a simple, but serene card featuring one of the images from the Happy Together stamp set by Penny Black. You might remember that a few weeks ago, I posted a card featuring the cacti image included in this set. I kept this card super simple – I didn’t want the background to overwhelm the image – but I couldn’t help but add a touch of whimsy with some polka dot design paper leftover from a previous project.

Hope your day has been more productive than mine!
