Day 8 Power Poppy Christmas Remix

GOOD MORNING FRIENDS! Here we are at Day 8 of the Power Poppy Christmas Remix and I’m back today with another new digital release – Handmade with Love Tags.

There are eight designs, each offered with and without a sentiment for a total of sixteen images in the set. For my project, I created small gift cards (measuring 3.25″ square) from two of the images from the set. The images are quick and easy to color and the finished cards went together in a matter of minutes! Great for last minute gift cards and tags.

Comment and Win!

I hope you’ve enjoyed the blog hop so far. It’s been exciting to see all the creative projects from my Power Poppy teammates. To celebrate, I’m giving away a $20 Power Poppy gift voucher to folks who leave a comment below on this blog post. The winner will be randomly selected from all comments.  So leave me a comment telling me your favorite Power Poppy stamp (clear or digital). Or which Power Poppy stamps you’d select if you were the lucky winner. Or just say hello!

Entries accepted through Monday, December 2, 2019 at 9:00 PM EST.
Winner to be announced on the Power Poppy Blog on December 4th.

Here’s the fine print (literally): No purchase necessary. Winner will be randomly selected. Odds of winning are based on the number of entries. One entry per person (leaving a comment below constitutes your entry). If you leave multiple comments, only the first will count as your entry. If you are commenting here for the first time, there may be a delay until your comment appears.

Merriest Berries by Power Poppy

GOOD MORNING FRIENDS! I’m back today for Day 7 of the Power Poppy Christmas Remix. Today we’re featuring the Berry Sweet clear stamp set, also available in two digital stamp sets – Merriest Berries and Wreath – Felt Leaves and Fruits.

For today’s card, I used the Merriest Berries digital set.

The image was colored with Copic markers and then I fussy cut the image. For those of you who are wondering, I actually cut this by hand and not with my Scan and Cut. No particular reason, except that it was quicker to pull out my scissors than the scanner and this image is fairly straight forward to cut by hand. Both the image and the die cut are popped up for some added dimension.

I think you’ll agree that this image is a holiday classic. And speaking of classics – take a look at what the rest of the team has for you!

Season of Serenity by Power Poppy

GOOD MORNING FRIENDS! I’m back today with a new digital release from Power Poppy called Season of Serenity. Marcella captured the essence of serenity in this oval scene of snowy evergreens and mountain caps, accented by a sweet bird in holly in the foreground.

Originally, my card is just a sneak peak of the larger image, but I couldn’t resist this beautiful cardinal so I made him into a card all by himself. Then Marcella saw the end result and decided that she would include the image as part of the digital set. Win! Win!

My Power Poppy team mates used the full image to be sure you take time to blog hop and see what the rest of Power Poppy’s talented designers have for you. And as always – be sure to stop by the Power Poppy blog for all the latest news, sales, challenges and an all around good time!

Poinsettias and Pomegranates by Power Poppy

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE! I’m back today to kick off Power Poppy’s Christmas Remix blog hop. From now through December 2nd, we’ll be celebrating favorite images used in new ways with fresh designs to download and the release of classic clear images into the digital format.

Today we’re starting off with a celebration of Poinsettias. For my project, I’m featuring the Poinsettia & Pomegranates digital stamp. For those of you who prefer clear stamps, this image is also featured in the Poinsettia stamp set.

Rowhouse Greetings | Poinsettia and Pomegranates by Power Poppy

For my project, I cropped a section of the image and positioned it in the upper left corner of the card. I colored the image with Copic markers (see list below) and stamped a sentiment from the O Holy Night clear stamp set by Power Poppy.

Time to blog hop and see what the Bloom Brigade and the Instant Gardeners have for you. And be sure to stop by the Power Poppy blog to check out the sales, specials, surprises, and giveaways that Marcella has planned during release week!

Christmas Snowman by Lili of the Valley

WELCOME BACK! How’s it going with making all those holiday cards? As usual, I’m way behind, but I’m working my way through my stash of stamps that I never got around to using. Since we live in such a small house, I have to purge belongings – including craft supplies – on a regular basis. So I tend to hold onto holiday stamps because my chances of reusing them is pretty good. Christmas cards really are my favorite to make, but I need to get moving on making holiday cards so that I’ll have enough to send out this year.

COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS DAY 2019

Today’s Project

I have another simple card featuring a digital stamp – Christmas Snowman – by Lili of the Valley. If you like simple but cute images, take a look at their Etsy shop. LOTV formerly sold rubber stamps, but they stopped several months ago and have been making their images available in digital format on Etsy. If you don’t know how to use a digital stamp, take a look at this article by my Power Poppy teammate Julie Koerber for guidance.

Hmm . . . perhaps I should have prefaced that with ENABLER ALERT!

No video today since I colored this image before I got into the swing of recording. But the coloring is super simple and you can follow the shading in the illustration below if you need some help. See the supply list below for the Copic colors.
