July Demo Day – Featuring MFT Stamps

I’m over at PhotoScraps today participating in Demo Day. I’ve got two cards featuring stamps from My Favorite Things that are simple to color (I swear!) with Copic markers. I stamps the images in different colors of Memento Ink so that the outlines of the leaves and flowers blended with the coloring – sort of like no line coloring with lines!

If you’re in the area, stop on by!

Old Fashioned Hollyhocks

Are you loving all the new Power Poppy digital stamp releases this week? I loved the new Old Fashioned Hollyhocks digital stamp set so I had to color it. I cropped the image and offset it to the left so that I could add a sentiment from the Hyacinth Bulb in Glass digital stamp set. I paired the image with a black and white striped paper from Echo Park Paper Company, resulting in a clean and simple card suitable for any occasion.

This one is headed for my Etsy shop so stop by and take a look!

Smile!

I’m over on the LDRS Inspiration Blog today with a new project created with new released available at LDRS Creative. Sometimes I challenge myself to create a card without using my Copic markers. This particular card was made entirely from patterned and coordinating solid papers and die cuts. I used red foil paper for the word die and the hearts for added interest.

Inspired Edge – Grow

Showing off a new card featuring some of the new products now available from LDRS Creative:

I colored the image with Copic markers using Copic X-Press It Blending Card. I usually design A2 cards (4.25 in. x 5.5 in.) but for this one, I bumped up to A6 (4.5 in. x 6.25 in.). I backed the front of the card with a design paper sheet from the Daisy Daisy 6×6 paper pack by Polkadoodles. I love this paper – the designs are colorful and cheery.

I backed the image with a coordinating solid green cardstock and attached it to my card base with foam dots to give it some dimension. I used the Dotty Doily Die Set to cut a paper doily which I then cut down to size and tucked in behind the image. The result is a simple card that is quick and easy to put together and color.

Hope my card gives you some craft inspiration!

Warm Cup

I loved this design paper from Doodlebugs so I decided to pair it with another House Mouse Designs oldie but goodie – the Warm Cup stamp. This one really is quick and easy to color. Paired with a sentiment from Paper Smooches and you have a fun card to share with a friend.
