Anita Jeram Stargazers by Colorado Craft Company

HEY FRIENDS! I’m thrilled to share with you today the release of the new Anita Jeram images from Colorado Craft Company. I have plenty of cards to show you in the coming days, but for today, I’m kicking off the new release with the Anita Jeram Stargazers stamp set. You know how much I love these images so having the opportunity to bring them to you is an unbelievable joy!

As always, I’ve linked the supplies below with compensated affiliate links used where possible at no cost to you.

Some links in the post are affiliate links. At no additional cost to you, I will earn a commission if you click through and make a purchase. Thank you for helping me provide you with more new content!

Today’s project features:

I stamped the bears from the Stargazers stamp set on Hammermill cardstock with Nuvo Hybrid Ink in Black Shadow. For the background, I used the smallest moon in the Moon Mask stencil. I added a little repositionable tape to stick the smallest mask in place and colored around it with FB2, working outward in arcs with B29, B69, and BV29. I removed the mask and ink blended the moon with Distress Ink in Antique Linen. The stars were added with a gold gel pen.

For the bears, I used a variety of E30s markers (see below), making sure that the back of the bears were darker than the front. I deepened the shadows on the bears with BV23 and BV25. I used YG03 and YG67 for the grass, but they were too bright for a moonlight landscape so I BV25 and BV29 to tone them down.

Yep! That’s a whole lot of Copic coloring so this is where you need to make sure that your markers are full. You won’t to get good coverage and blending on that night sky if you markers are dry. I use a jewelry scale to weigh my markers to make sure that they are filled consistently. With both caps on, the marker should weight approximately 14 grams. With both caps off, it should weight approximately 9.5 grams. I’ve linked the scale that I use, but you can find a variety of similar scales on Amazon. Remove both caps and slowly drip the refill ink on the chisel end of the marker – no need to remove the nib. Give the marker a few minutes to redistribute the ink within, replace the caps and you’re good to go!
