HEY FRIENDS! I’m back today with a new coloring project and new video featuring the Camping stamp set by Penny Black. I just loved this little girl and I’m finally getting around to coloring her.
As a child, my family often went camping together. I have faint memories of our initial camping adventure, which featured our family of five squeezed into a small tent. It didn’t take long for my mom to determine that camping with three kids in a tent was not her idea of fun, prompting my parents to purchase a pop-up camper shortly thereafter. We spent numerous summer weekends at the beach camping, and I cherish those trips as some of my happiest memories.

As you’ll see in the video below, I created the background using one of the stencils in the Background Basics Stencils set and then used a domed foam blender to blend in Distress Ink in Twisted Citron and Salty Ocean for the grass and sky. I used Distress Ink in order to color over some of the background to complete the grass. Do NOT use Distress Oxides for the background. The pigmented ink is not alcohol marker compatible and at minimum you could ruin the nibs on your markers.
