So I think we’ve already determined that I’m a big fan of Marcella Hawley’s beautiful floral digital images and stamps at Power Poppy. But I’m particularly fond of working with digital images because of their versatility. You can blend images or extract detail without a lot of effort without messing with masking or other issues with rubber stamps.
So when I saw Asters Abuzz, I knew that I wanted to do something that would highlight the details of the image, particularly the bees. So I used Silhouette Studio Designer Edition to extract out two portions of the digital image and sized them as 1″ images. I lined them up on the cardstock and added the sentiment. I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the yellow framing and attached it to the card with pop dots for dimension.
