Last week I was over on the LDRS Inspiration blog with another card using the North Woods stamp and die set from LDRS. This is a card that just evolved as I was putting it together. I did a lot of experimenting before I found two design papers in my stash that captured the wintery woodsy theme that I wanted, but also coordinated with each other.
Once I made the final selection, I cut one flag from each paper using the largest die in the Creative Basics Stitched Flags die set. I stamped the moose and trees on X-Press It Blending Card by Copic, colored them with copic markers, and cut them out using the coordinating dies that come with the North Woods stamp set. The front sentiment was a little tricky – the paper was shaped by cutting two ovals — one in white and one in green — using the Creative Basics Pierced Ovals die set. I used one of the smaller oval dies in the set to cut a swoop into the green oval and attached it to the white oval. I attached the moose with thin foam squares and tucked the die cut trees in behind the oval.
The inside of the card is pretty straight forward. The paper for the sentiment was cut using the Creative Basics Fancy Rectangles & Layers die set and adhered to the background paper.
