DEAR FRIENDS – As some of you already know, we are rescheduling the June 12th Copic class. Please contact Photo Scraps if you have not already received a call from the store. The class has been rescheduled to Monday, June 17th with an additional date available on Wednesday, June 26th. Class details remain the same.
Instead on Wednesday, I’ll be attending the memorial service for one of my first Copic students. From the very beginning, Beverly Pugsley was one of my biggest cheerleaders. She encouraged me to teach, told her friends to sign up for my classes, and made a point of attending as many as she could. Every month on Demo Day, she brought me a lunch packed with protein, fresh fruit, and nuts. She wanted to make sure that I stayed healthy so that I could teach even more classes. And at the end of the day, we would sit and color, talking about whatever was going on in our lives. She loved to garden and would show me pictures of the flowers blooming in her yard. She knew that I took care of my elderly parents and she always asked about them, giving me insight on what it means to grow older. Her faith was strong, made even stronger by her final challenge. Her last message to me was: “Trusting in God for outcome. Love you very much.”
She’d be amused at a reference to Winnie the Pooh, but as a wise bear once said: “We didn’t realize we were making memories. We just knew we were having fun.”
What a wonderful way to remember a dear friend.
I new her through the years and in many classes at Photo Scraps. We often chatted and shared at Stamp Shows too. She will be missed by many. Hmm, bet she’s sharing her love of stamping in heavan…
So sorry for the loss, but glad you have the good memories.
What a nice tribute to a dear friend. Hugs to you and don’t forget her nudge about taking good care of yourself while you are so busy taking care of others. Wonderful advice for all of us.
Thanks.
What a lovely friendship and memory for you! Isn’t is wonderful how “coloring” brings so may wonderful people together?! Hugs to you my friend…..
