Potted Primroses by Power Poppy

GOOD MORNING FRIENDS! I’m back today with a new card featuring the Potted Primrose Stamp Set by Power Poppy. I’ve colored this image before, but it’s fun sometimes to pull out a familiar stamp and give it a new interpretation.

For my card, I stamped the image with Amalgam Ink and colored with Copic markers (see colors below). I played with the background colors a bit to try to get the plants to pop forward visually. I used the Moroccan Circles embossing folder from Sunny Studios to emboss a strip down the left side and added a 1/4″ strip of design paper for some color. The embossing is more obvious in the photo below.

  1. Nancy, your card combines some of my favorite elements — beautiful coloring, dry embossing, patterned paper — while still keeping a CAS look to it. Come to think of it, that’s a favorite, too… the CAS style. In this case it’s simple and sweet. Love!

  2. So pretty! I have not colored this image yet. It languishes! 😉 I love the embossing! I have not touched my embossing folders in AGES, despite have about 200 pounds of them! You have inspired me!

  3. You gave these simple potted plants a great look. I noticed how you added depth to them with the shading in little round circles. The added dry embossing and the colorful panel of stripes down the side added great interest, but don;t take away from the flowers.

  4. So very lovely Nancy. Gorgeous background with the embossing and strip of desing paper on the left.
Thank you so much for sharing and have a great weekend.
