Small Business Saturday – Power Poppy Christmas Remix

YEP, IT’S ME AGAIN! Today we’re celebrating Small Business Saturday to encourage folks to shop small. If you check out the Power Poppy Blog, you’ll see that Marcella has a special deal for you today. Check it out – I don’t want to spoil her surprise!

Today’s card features the new Winter Flora digital stamp. I cropped it so that I could enlarge part of the image along the left side of the card and have enough room to insert a sentiment as well. I colored it with Copic markers (see list below) and kept the overall design clean and simple. I can color quickly, but agonize over the card layout. Since I need lots of holiday cards this season, I’m keeping the layout simple so that I can get the job done.

In this case, I thought that featuring just a portion would highlight just how beautiful this image really is.

Take a look at what some of my teammates have put together to inspire you!

Day 9 Power Poppy Christmas Remix

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I’m spending the day it with my parents and husband. In addition to the holiday, we’re celebrating my parents’ 71st wedding anniversary. We’re taking them out to dinner. I’m thankful that someone else is cooking so I can relax with family instead of spending the day in the kitchen.

Lots to be thankful for – health, family, good friends, a new kitten! One of our cats spent yesterday and last night at the emergency vet. Thankful that I received good news early this morning that her issue is treatable and she’ll recover.

Here on Day 9 in the blog hop, we’re celebrating the release of another digital stamp – Glittering Village – formerly available only as a clear stamp. Again, my more organized teammates have some projects to delight you so be sure you stop by and give their projects some love.

Day 8 Power Poppy Christmas Remix

GOOD MORNING FRIENDS! Here we are at Day 8 of the Power Poppy Christmas Remix and I’m back today with another new digital release – Handmade with Love Tags.

There are eight designs, each offered with and without a sentiment for a total of sixteen images in the set. For my project, I created small gift cards (measuring 3.25″ square) from two of the images from the set. The images are quick and easy to color and the finished cards went together in a matter of minutes! Great for last minute gift cards and tags.

Comment and Win!

I hope you’ve enjoyed the blog hop so far. It’s been exciting to see all the creative projects from my Power Poppy teammates. To celebrate, I’m giving away a $20 Power Poppy gift voucher to folks who leave a comment below on this blog post. The winner will be randomly selected from all comments.  So leave me a comment telling me your favorite Power Poppy stamp (clear or digital). Or which Power Poppy stamps you’d select if you were the lucky winner. Or just say hello!

Entries accepted through Monday, December 2, 2019 at 9:00 PM EST.
Winner to be announced on the Power Poppy Blog on December 4th.

Here’s the fine print (literally): No purchase necessary. Winner will be randomly selected. Odds of winning are based on the number of entries. One entry per person (leaving a comment below constitutes your entry). If you leave multiple comments, only the first will count as your entry. If you are commenting here for the first time, there may be a delay until your comment appears.

Merriest Berries by Power Poppy

GOOD MORNING FRIENDS! I’m back today for Day 7 of the Power Poppy Christmas Remix. Today we’re featuring the Berry Sweet clear stamp set, also available in two digital stamp sets – Merriest Berries and Wreath – Felt Leaves and Fruits.

For today’s card, I used the Merriest Berries digital set.

Rowhouse Greetings | Merriest Berries by Power Poppy

The image was colored with Copic markers and then I fussy cut the image. For those of you who are wondering, I actually cut this by hand and not with my Scan and Cut. No particular reason, except that it was quicker to pull out my scissors than the scanner and this image is fairly straight forward to cut by hand. Both the image and the die cut are popped up for some added dimension.

I think you’ll agree that this image is a holiday classic. And speaking of classics – take a look at what the rest of the team has for you!
