HEY FRIENDS! Just a quick post today. Lots of Christmas things going on — shopping, decorating, organizing — so I’m squeezing in crafting time when I can. I used the main image from the Candy Cane Mice stamp set for my card. The set also includes single candy cane stamp and two individual candies. Coordinating dies are sold separately. All of the image was stamped on Hammermill Smooth cardstock using Hero Arts Intense Black Ink and colored with Copic markers (see marker lists below). After coloring, the image panel was trimmed using Hero Arts Infinity Rectangle dies and I stamped the sentiment using Versafine Clare ink in Nocturne. I adhered craft foam to the back for dimension using Beacon’s 3-in-1 Craft Adhesive. then glued front panel was then glued to an A2 cardbase cut from Neenah Classic Crest.

That’s all from me today! See you again soon!

TODAY’S PROJECT

Anita Jeram Dear Santa by Colorado Craft Company

I have three cards for you today, all created using the Anita Jeram Dear Santa stamp set. The set includes clear photopolymer stamps with a dog, a bunny and a mouse writing and mailing letters to Santa in a snow-covered mailbox. The stamps can be used with the coordinating Dear Santa complete dies set (AJ733-D) and the Dear Santa single die set (AJ745-D) both sold separately. This stamp set includes 7 images and 5 sentiments.

Once I got started, I was quickly on a roll making cards. Coordinating dies are also available for this stamp set, although I didn’t use them here.

All of the images and sentiments were stamped on Hammermill Smooth cardstock using Hero Arts Intense Black Ink and colored with Copic markers (see marker lists below). After coloring, the image panel was trimmed using Hero Arts Infinity Rectangle dies and I adhered craft foam to the back for dimension using Beacon’s 3-in-1 Craft Adhesive. The front panel was then glued to an A2 cardbase cut from Neenah Classic Crest.

So let’s take a closer look!

Sledging Party by Lili of the Valley

HEY FRIENDS! I’m back with another edition of Nancy and Jill Color Together! If you saw last month’s post, you know that Jill Killeen of Killeen House Studio asked me to participate in a monthly challenge with her where we would color the same image and see how we each interpreted it. This month, I selected Sledging Party by Lili of the Valley for our challenge. As always, I’ve linked supplies with compensated affiliate links used where possible at no cost to you.

This image was a little more complicated than I expected. Once I started coloring, I realized that I had to sort out all the arm, legs, scarfs and mittens. So to keep things simple, I selected specific color combinations and used them throughout. This simplified the color scheme and provided continuity in the image.

Enough about me! Here’s Jill’s interpretation!

A few similarities with mine – I suspect that we used some of the same combinations, although rumor has it that Jill used nearly 50 markers! Check her full blog post for all the details.

That’s all for today!

Holiday Gift Tags

HEY FRIENDS! Today I’ve switched gears to make some holiday tags for gift packages. I recently purchased a new to me Penny Black stamp set called Jolly Follies — I have a soft spot for all of the Penny Black critter images — so I paired it with a few Avery Elle stamps from my stash as well as a large layer tag die also from Avery Elle. As always, I’ve linked supplies with compensated affiliate links used where possible at no cost to you.

FEATURED PRODUCTS:

Tag 1

Rowhouse Greetings | Jolly Follies by Penny Black and Merry Circle Tags by Avery Elle

COPICS: E30, E31, E33, E35, E37 (mouse); B12, B24, B26, B39 (scarf); R17, R27, R39 (bow); C3, C5, C7 (lamp); V20, BG10, B000, B41 (snow)

Tag 2

Rowhouse Greetings | Jolly Follies by Penny Black and Merry Circle Tags by Avery Elle

COPICS: B000, B41 (snow); YR04 (carrot); E23 (branches); C3, C5, C7 (hat); R17, R27, R39 (hat band, scarf & mittens); R27, YG03, YG17, YG67 (stocking)

Tag 3

Rowhouse Greetings | Jolly Follies by Penny Black and Merry Circle Tags by Avery Elle

COPICS: R17, R27, R39 (ribbon); R27 (berries); YG03, YG17, YG67 (holly leaves); Y21, Y26, Y28, E23 (bells); B000, B00, B01 (dress); R20, E30, E31, E33, E35, E37 (mouse)

For each tag, I used the largest tag die in the Easy Layer Tag Die set to cut the background from Hammermill smooth cardstock. The images from the Jolly Follies stamp set were stamped using Hero Arts Intense Black Ink. I used sentiments from the Merry Circle Tags stamp set which I stamped using Versafine Claire in Nocturne. I used the “To” and “From” stamps from the Jingle stamp set. I added clear Wink of Stella to embellish the snow on the lamp in Tag 1 and the bells in Tag 3.

Since the Copic ink bleeds through the paper, I cut another tag from Neenah cardstock to glue to the back. For the third tag, I also stamped all the sentiments on the back since they were not used on the front.

That’s all for today!
