VIDEO: Teddy Bouquet | Penny Black

HEY FRIENDS! I’m back from a relaxing spa vacation in Berkley Springs. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday, but somehow I got a spa pedicure, massage, and a body scrub out the deal. Today I’m back to work in the studio working on a coloring video featuring the Teddy Bouquet stamp set by Penny Black.

I’ve linked all supplies with compensated affiliate links used where possible at no cost to you.

CARD: Little Guy (Sailboat) | Penny Black

Rowhouse Greetings | Little Guy by Penny Black

HEY FRIENDS! We are off to the wilds of West Virginia where I will plan on being rejuvenated at the spa in Berkley Springs. My husband’s birthday is also this week so we decided to take some time off from our usual day-to-day for a short getaway. So while I’m being pampered, I thought I’d share a card with you featuring the sailboat image from Little Guy stamp set by Penny Black. I colored the image and created a video (see below) a few months ago and I’m just getting around to turning it into a card.

Today’s Project

Featured Supplies

I stamped the image with Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black on X-Press It Blending Card. The image panel was trimmed to 4″ x 4.5″ and the image was colored with Copic markers (see video below). Once the image was colored, I added a thin strip of design paper at the top and bottom of the panel for interest.

I had a one-inch strip of scrap cardstock so I used it to stamp the sentiment from the Super Day stamp set using Versafine Clare in Nocturne. Once the ink was dry, I cut a fishtail in one end and added a scrap of red mirror card behind the resulting tag. I added foam squares to the back and adhered it to the card as shown.

OK – go get an adult beverage and some popcorn. It’s time to roll the video!

VIDEO: Rain or Shine | Penny Black

HEY FRIENDS! I’m back today with another Penny Black image that has been hiding out in my stash. My mother loves teddy bears so I’m always drawn to cute bear images. This image is from the Rain or Shine stamp set by Penny Black and includes this image as well as two sentiments.

Featured Supplies

I’m stamped the image on Strathmore Bristol (Series 300) using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black. I created the background by stamping the image on Masking Magic, fussy cutting it and placing the mask over the original stamped image. With the mask in place, I ink blended the background using the Background Basics Stencil by Penny Black using Distress Inks in Stormy Weather and Twisted Citron. Once the ink was dry, I removed the mask and began coloring the image with Copic markers.

This image panel will eventually make its way onto a card, but no time for that right now!

CARD: Little Guy (Fishing) | Penny Black

HEY FRIENDS! Lately, I’ve been on a coloring spree, and I figured it was about time to turn some of those designs into cards. I recently shared the fishing image from the Little Guy stamp set by Penny Black, so I thought that would be a fun starting point.

Copic Coloring Video

In case you missed it, here’s the coloring video for this image. If video is not displayed below, use THIS LINK.

I created a card base from Accent Opaque cardstock and scored at 5.5 inches. On the front, I aligned the grid stamp from the Tulips in Bloom stamp set and stamped the image with Salvaged Patina Distress Archival Ink. I masked the top of the image with Mint Tape Low Tack Tape and ink blended the bottom stamped section with Salvaged Patina Distress Ink. I removed the mask and set aside.

Next, I cut a piece of X-Press It Blending Card to approximately 2.75″ x 4.875″ and stamped the image from the Little Guy stamp set using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black. I colored the image with Copic markers. See coloring video above and the marker list below for reference.

Next I cut a piece of solid coordinating cardstock (in this case 100# cardstock in Audrey Blue from Simon Says Stamp) so that it was approximately 1/8″ larger than the image panel. Next I cut a piece of Accent Opaque using the Simple Stackers die set and layered the image panel, solid cardstock and die cut as shown. You may need to slightly trim your panels to fit. To finish, I assemble the parts as shown.

Little Guy (one more time) | Penny Black

Rowhouse Greetings | Little Guy by Penny Black

HEY FRIENDS! I’m back today with one last coloring project featuring the Little Guy stamp set by Penny Black. This time I colored the young boy fishing. This image was particularly poignant for me as two of my young grand-nephews love to fish. These images from the Little Guy stamp set are just adorable and perfect for the young ones in your lives.
