HEY FRIENDS! Just a quick post today with a card that might look slightly familiar. The Birthday Wishing stamp set by Colorado Craft Company is one of my favorites for a quick card. Add an ink blended background and you have a quick and easy birthday card ready to pop in the mail. As always, I’ve linked the supplies below with compensated affiliate links used where possible at no cost to you.
Today’s project features:
- Birthday Wishing by Colorado Craft Company
- Zig Zag Stackers by Penny Black
- Copic coloring (see list and video below)
- Additional supplies linked in thumbnails below.

The image was stamped on a Copic compatible paper using Amalgam Ink in Obsidian by Gina K. Designs and colored with Copic markers (see list below). Once the image was colored, I lightly blended Distress Ink in Twisted Citron, Antique Linen and Tumbled Glass to create the background. Next I trimmed the image using one of the dies in the Zig Zag Stackers die set by Penny Black. After rummaging through my scrap pile, I found a small piece of white cardstock to stamp the sentiment with Versafine Clare in Nocturne. Afterwards, I trimmed the sentiment into a fishtail shape and embellished with a scrap piece of design paper.
I created a Copic coloring video when I colored this image previously so I’m including it below for your convenience.
And here’s just a sneak peak at a new craft that I’ve been working on lately. I’ve always loved the symmetry of mandalas so I’ve been teaching myself how to draw them. To be honest, I wasn’t sure if I could do this because I’ve always said that I can’t draw a straight line with a ruler. But I’ve surprised myself and find that it’s not as hard as it looks and is relaxing as long as finishing in one sitting is not a goal!

That’s all for today from my studio! Hope you find some crafting time as well! See you soon!
