HEY FRIENDS! I took a bit of a hiatus — not from cardmaking, but from blogging. Sometimes all the overhead of blogging — tracking the colors, photography, drafting the post, scheduling social media, etc. — gets in the way of the actual fun of making the cards. So my blog has been quiet for a few weeks so that I could just make some cards in the limited time that I’ve had lately to craft. But I do like to keep a record of what I’ve made so I started going through my notes to catch up with posting.

I have a thing for snowmen so when I saw this stamp by Stampendous, I knew that I had to color it. I stamped the image on Hammermill cardstock using Hero Arts Intense Black ink and colored it with Copic markers (see list below). After coloring the image, I added a sentiment from the Festive Overlay stamp set stamped using Versafine Clare in Nocturne. While this is a great vintage stamp set, I often use it just for the sentiments.

Nancy, I feel you! In fact, I’ve done a bit of that myself in the last few weeks as I’ve completed my cards for the senior citizens I treat each Christmas.

Throw in some intense elder care and it’s been a really exhausting time. Coloring was about all I could manage!
