GOOD MORNING FRIENDS! Another quick post today. In a little while, I’ll be running off to have lunch with my parents. But I wanted to post a Copic coloring video for the second card set that I dropped off at Photo Scraps earlier in the week. Tomorrow is Demo Day to Go. If you want the card kit, stop by or call Photo Scraps. Another limited edition of 25 kits for this card so get yours while you can!

GOOD MORNING FRIENDS! Just a quick post. On Monday, I dropped off two sets of card kits at Photo Scraps for Demo Day to Go featuring the Tweet Friends stamp set from My Favorite Things. I made a quick Copic coloring video for one of the cards. If you want the card kit, stop by or call Photo Scraps – I only made 25 kits for this card so they’ll go fast.

In this online class, you will complete three cards featuring the Tulla & Norbert clear stamp set by PhotoPlay. This class is pared down to just Copics — no stenciling, heat embossing, foiling, etc. — so that we can concentrate on the basics. The marker colors were chosen to blend with the coordinating Tulla & Norbert design paper by PhotoPlay.
Since we are still social distancing, this Copic class is offered completely online so you can work on it from home at your leisure. It includes five videos as follows:
The first video goes over different blending techniques, including blending light to dark, dark to light, tip to tip, and what I often call speed coloring. Start here if you are new to Copic coloring or need to review blending techniques.
The next three videos show you how to color the each of the gnome images.
The final video shows you how to assemble the cards.
To participate, you’ll need to purchase the class kit from Photo Scraps and provide Tracy with your email address. Once the class videos are available, you will receive an email containing a link and password for the instructional materials. For additional information, please call Photo Scraps at (410) 549-5187.
Class fee $28 and includes the card kits and access to the instructional videos.
Class Supply List
COPIC MARKERS: Below are the markers and supplies that I will be using in this class. Please feel free to substitute where necessary to participate in class. If your markers are different colors than the ones I’ve selected or a completely different brand, you will obviously get different results. But this class is about technique and creativity. So don’t be afraid to try something different!

R27: Cadmium Red
Y02: Canary Yellow
YG03: Yellow Green
YG17: Grass Green
BG11: Moon White
BG13: Mint Green
E000: Pale Fruit Pink

ADDITIONAL SUPPLIES: You will also need the following –
Card kit purchased from Photo Scraps
Uni-Posca Extra Fine Marker (PC-1m.1) in White. You could try substituting a white gel pen, but I think you’ll have better results with the Uni-Posca marker.
Distress Inks in Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, and Peacock Feathers (you can substitute with Distress Oxides)
Nuvo Crystal Glaze or Glossy Accents
Scissors
Foam tape or foam squares (such as Gina K. Designs Foam Squares or Scrapbook Adhesives 3-D Squares). If desired, you can substitute Craft Foam (AKA Fun Foam) in place of the foam tape/squares).
GOOD AFTERNOON EVERYONE! It’s a cold rainy day here so staying home and coloring is real easy to do.
I’m back today with a new card and a new coloring video featuring the new Splendiferous cling stamp by Penny Black. Once again, this card will be available as a kit from Photo Scraps. If you’re interested, give Tracy a call at 410-549-5187 and she’ll be happy to take your order and mail them out to you. I had enough design paper to make 19 kits so act fast if you want one!
The image was colored using Copic markers. I just used a portion of the full image. I’ve included a coloring video to show how it was colored.
For the banners, I taped together three of the dies from the Stitched Jumbo Fishtail Banner Stax by My Favorite Things. After running them through my die cutter, I had a large banner frame, a smaller banner frame, and a solid banner. I stamped the image on the latter using my Misti stamping platform. I should note that the actual stamp is much larger than the banner so the resulting stamped image is only a portion of the original stamp.
To complete the card, I used a trick that comes in handy when I don’t have a solid card stock to match my color palette. I used the chisel tip of my R32 marker to apply two coats of color to the larger banner frame. I repeated the process using the G43 marker on the smaller banner frame. That way my banner frames were exact matches for the colors used in the stamped image.
I’ve included a video below to show how the banners were created and colored.
That’s all for now. I’m working one several projects at the same time, one of which is creating a video version of my Strike Up the Band class. More information on that shortly!
Thanks for stopping by!

CARD 1
This stamp set is one of my favorites from My Favorite Things. The chefs are fun and easy to color. You can make them with a limited color palette. If you don’t have the cool grays, you can substitute any of the other grays (warm, toner, or neutral) in your collection.
