In this workshop, we will make three slimline cards featuring layering stencils from PinkFresh Studio. No coloring experience necessary! Here, we’ll let the stencils do all the work for us to create these beautiful multi-colored blooms.

All experience levels are welcomed. If you’re an old hand at stencil projects, you’ll feel right at home. If you’re new to it, you’ll learn the basics to get you started with this fun project. CLASS FEE $38

Students should bring:

  • CRAFT MAT or GLASS MAT
  • SCISSORS
  • ADHESIVES for card assembly, including foam squares (i.e. Scrapbook Adhesives 3D Foam Squares); repositionable tape (i.e. E-Z Dots Repositionable Tape by Scrapbook Adhesives); Beacons 3-in-1 Advanced Craft Glue for the base layers; any white glue that dries clear (i.e. Ranger Multi Medium Matte, Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive, Bearly Art Glitter Glue, etc.) for adding other card elements.
  • DISTRESS INKS:  Please bring the following if you happen to have them in your stash: Abandoned Coral, Bundled Sage, Evergreen Bough, Festive Berries, Fossilized Amber, Peacock Feathers, Picked Raspberry, Pine Needles, Rustic Wilderness, Scattered Straw, Shaded Lilac, Spun Sugar, Tattered Rose, Twisted Citron, Wilted Violet, Worn Lipstick
    Don’t panic if you don’t have all the inks – I will bring my ink pads to share in class.

New Class! Queen Bee Shadowbox – August 29th – Queen’s Ink

In this workshop, you’ll create this easy, breezy shadow box featuring a variety of mixed media techniques, including shaping, stamping, and painting the central medallion and creating the background with a variety of acrylic paints and ArtFoamies stamps.

You’ll also have the opportunity to try out the new Karin Pigment Decobrush Markers now available at The Queen’s Ink. These markers hold non-toxic organic pigment-based paint in a convenient brush marker format. Decobrush Markers are available in 84 colors and work on a variety of substrates such as glass, paper and card stock, some plastics, wood, stone, canvas, and more.

All experience are levels welcomed. If you’re an old hand at mixed media projects, you’ll feel right at home. If you’re new to it, you’ll learn the basics to get you started with this fun project.

  • A small mixed media PAINTBRUSH suitable for detail painting. I will be using a Silver Silk 8803S Oval Crescent brush available at the Queen’s Ink. These brushes are suitable for fluid acrylics, interference acrylics, gouache, watercolors and more.

New Class! Spring Greetings – Cardmaking Basics – Queen’s Ink – May 8th

In this workshop, you will create three cards featuring a variety of cardmaking techniques – stamping, coloring, stenciling, heat embossing, die cutting, etc. If you’re an old hand at making cards, you’ll feel right at home. If you’re new to cardmaking, you’ll learn the basics to get you started with this fun hobby.

The flowers are colored with Karin Brushmarkers and this is your opportunity to try out these markers. The Queen’s Ink has added Karin Brushmarker PRO to its inventory, a great addition for artists of any level. Markers will be provided for students to use in class. No experience necessary! CLASS FEE $32

  • INKS & BLENDERS Please bring the following if you have them in your stash: Distress Oxides in Mowed Lawn, Shabby Shutters, Squeezed Lemonade, Scattered Straw, and Kitsch Flamingo. Don’t panic if you don’t have all the inks – I will bring my ink pads to share in class.
  • CRAFT PICK I suggest the Tonic/Tim Holtz Retractable Craft Pick. 

We will be practicing social distancing protocol. Please wear a MASK and bring your HAND SANITIZER.
