HEY FRIENDS! Today I have a new card and a new Copic coloring video featuring the It’s Your Day stamp set by Penny Black. This is an older stamp set that I pulled out of my stash, so it’s harder to find in online stores. But I just love this bear so I decided that it was time to pull out my markers and start coloring. Fragrant Friends by Penny Black

HEY FRIENDS! As many of you know, I fell on Christmas Day and broke my leg. I’m been restricted to non-weight bearing activity and have two more months to go. Because of the stairs, both inside and outside of the house, I’ve pretty much stayed upstairs where luckily we have a bedroom, my studio and a bathroom. So basic needs are met with the help of my husband who brings food on a regular basis. But I do get a little stir crazy since most of my outing have been medical appointments.

So last week, my husband took me on a day trip to northern Virginia where I had the opportunity to shop to my heart’s content at Goldenhill Papercrafts. He didn’t care how much I spent as long as it made me happy. So I stocked up on stamps and dies that I’ve had my eye on, including several from Penny Black.

Today is my first project from my shopping spree, featuring the Fragrant Friends stamp set by Penny Black. I also have a Copic coloring video for you as well! As always, I’ve linked supplies with compensated affiliate links used where possible at no cost to you.

Love & Magic by Penny Black

HEY FRIENDS! Another quick post (but I’ve compensated with a coloring video!) featuring the Love & Magic stamp set by Penny Black. This card will be the one that I send my parents’ this holiday. My mother loves teddy bears and so when I saw this stamp, I knew it would make the perfect Christmas card for them. FEATURED PRODUCTS

I stamped the image from the Love & Magic stamp set on Hammermill cardstock using Hero Arts Intense Black Ink and colored it using Copic markers. Once the image was colored, I trimmed the panel to 2-3/4 x 4-3/4 inches. Then I cut a piece of design paper from the Cheerful Plaid 6×6 Paper Pad by My Favorite Things to 3-1/2 x 5-1/8 inches as the background. I applied craft foam to the back of the image panel, but you could use foam tape for dimension. The layers were assembled as shown above. I stamped one of the sentiments from the Bitty Holiday Wishes stamp set by MFT Stamps using Versafine ink along the left side to finish off the card.

Holiday Gift Tags

HEY FRIENDS! Today I’ve switched gears to make some holiday tags for gift packages. I recently purchased a new to me Penny Black stamp set called Jolly Follies — I have a soft spot for all of the Penny Black critter images — so I paired it with a few Avery Elle stamps from my stash as well as a large layer tag die also from Avery Elle. For each tag, I used the largest tag die in the Easy Layer Tag Die set to cut the background from Hammermill smooth cardstock. The images from the Jolly Follies stamp set were stamped using Hero Arts Intense Black Ink. I used sentiments from the Merry Circle Tags stamp set which I stamped using Versafine Claire in Nocturne. I used the “To” and “From” stamps from the Jingle stamp set. I added clear Wink of Stella to embellish the snow on the lamp in Tag 1 and the bells in Tag 3.

Since the Copic ink bleeds through the paper, I cut another tag from Neenah cardstock to glue to the back. For the third tag, I also stamped all the sentiments on the back since they were not used on the front.

HEY FRIENDS! I took a break from making holiday cards to color up a stamp set by Penny Black called Golden Dance. I’ve had my eye on this stamp for awhile because I love its simplicity. So I decided it was a sign when I found both the stamp AND its coordinating die while I was out shopping at Shady Lane Impressions in Pennsylvania. This is a fabulous family owned craft store located in Honeybrook, Pennsylvania. They really have a little bit of everything in stock so it was quite a shopping experience! I stamped the image on Hammermill cardstock using Hero Arts Intense Black Ink and colored the image with Copic markers (see list below). Once the image was colored, I used the coordinating die to cut out the image.

I created an A2 top folding cardbase from Neenah Classic Crest cardstock and added a layer of design paper. I cut a piece of white cardstock using the second largest die in the Stitches of Love Rectangle die set and stamped the sentiment in the lower right corner using Versafine Clair ink in Nocturne. I applied foam adhesive squares to the back of the colored image and assembled the layers as shown.
