Spring For Sale!

Here’s another Mo Manning digital stamp that I’ve had for awhile. For some reason, I was feeling a little intimidated by it so I put it to the side, but once I started coloring it all started to fall into place. It’s a nice image for a Mother’s Day card so I have one card ready to go.

Babies are such sweet beginnings

I’ve had this digital image from Mo Manning for awhile, but just never got around to doing anything with it. I’ve always been a fan of clean and simple card layouts and this image seemed like the perfect candidate.

Life’s Short…. Swing High!

I noted recently that I can color images fairly fast, but it takes me all day and many false starts to design a card. That’s why — in case you hadn’t noticed — I’ve been creating so many flip cards lately. The format is easy to create and the end product is impressive.

I decided that I was trying too hard, so I just picked a color scheme — white, blue, and green — and cut a few pieces of cardstock and laid them out. Add a ribbon, a little bling, and there you are.

Inside sentiment: Swing High!

Welcome home!

I started this card on Super Bowl Sunday. I’m not much of a sports fan, so I didn’t spent the day in a cooking frenzy to prepare for a party, although my Pinterest feed was certainly full of interesting snack ideas! Instead, I started on this new card while waiting for the latest episode of Downton Abbey. This style of fancy fold card has become a personal favorite.  When I saw the Soldier Boy digital stamp at Mo’s Digital Pencil, I immediately knew what I could do with it. When closed, the dog is just barely visible, but when opened, the “lazy mutt” is fully visible in his reclining glory.

Tall Cake

I love Mo Manning’s digital stamps and decided to have another crack at making a card with “Tall Cake.” Have you ever finished coloring an image only to realized that you had an accidental ink spatter or blotch that you just can’t hide? Well, that happened to me today, but luckily it was far enough away from the image that I could just trim it it out. It meant that I had to redesign my intended layout to work with the altered dimensions, so this is what I came up with. Hope you like it!
