Good morning! Today I’m working on a new birthday card featuring the lovely “Tall Cake” image from Mo’s Digital Pencil. I love cards that are dimensional and move . Today’s card is not quite  as elaborate as a step card or a joy fold, but the modified gate provides some movement to the card. By moving the image to the side, the partial reveal provides color inside and out.

My father’s 87th birthday is this weekend and it’s time to put together a special birthday card. He loves old-time swashbucking movies and is young at heart so the stamp seemed appropriate. Besides, it’s colorful and handmade by his favorite (i.e. only) daughter so that will make it special for him.

The layout is a modification of a design by Cindy Lawrence.
