HEY FRIENDS! I’m back today with another project from the new Anita Jeram release by Colorado Craft Company. This one is Well Loved – an adorable teddy bear and heart stamp with sentiment. My mother is particularly fond of teddy bears, so I’ll be setting this card aside for her. HEY FRIENDS! I’m thrilled to share with you today the release of the new Anita Jeram images from Colorado Craft Company. I have plenty of cards to show you in the coming days, but for today, I’m kicking off the new release with the Anita Jeram Stargazers stamp set. You know how much I love these images so having the opportunity to bring them to you is an unbelievable joy!

I stamped the bears from the Stargazers stamp set on Hammermill cardstock with Nuvo Hybrid Ink in Black Shadow. For the background, I used the smallest moon in the Moon Mask stencil. I added a little repositionable tape to stick the smallest mask in place and colored around it with FB2, working outward in arcs with B29, B69, and BV29. I removed the mask and ink blended the moon with Distress Ink in Antique Linen. The stars were added with a gold gel pen.
For the bears, I used a variety of E30s markers (see below), making sure that the back of the bears were darker than the front. I deepened the shadows on the bears with BV23 and BV25. I used YG03 and YG67 for the grass, but they were too bright for a moonlight landscape so I BV25 and BV29 to tone them down.
Yep! That’s a whole lot of Copic coloring so this is where you need to make sure that your markers are full. You won’t to get good coverage and blending on that night sky if you markers are dry. I use a jewelry scale to weigh my markers to make sure that they are filled consistently. With both caps on, the marker should weight approximately 14 grams. With both caps off, it should weight approximately 9.5 grams. I’ve linked the scale that I use, but you can find a variety of similar scales on Amazon. Remove both caps and slowly drip the refill ink on the chisel end of the marker – no need to remove the nib. Give the marker a few minutes to redistribute the ink within, replace the caps and you’re good to go!

HEY FRIENDS! Here is the last of my clean and simple cards from my snow day in the studio coloring spree! I have a lot of Anita Jeram images — don’t you just love her illustrations! — so for this card I used the Lots of Love stamp set by Colorado Craft Company. I love the simplicity of her images and they really are easy to color. So if you are in need of a Valentine’s Day card, keep this one in mind. That’s all for me today! Santa brought me a new iPhone so I’m getting ready to create more Copic coloring tutorials for my YouTube channel. See you soon!

HEY FRIENDS! More clean and simple projects as I work through my stash. Today project features another Anita Jeram stamp from Colorado Craft Company – Better Together. I love these images. They’re easy to color and can stand alone as the central image without further embellishment. So this card is pretty straightforward. I did the usual – stamp the image on a Copic compatible paper using Amalgam Ink in Obsidian by Gina K. Designs. The image was colored with Copic markers (see list below). Once the coloring was finished, I ink blended the sky and grass using Catherine Pooler Designs inks in It’s a Boy and Lime Rickey using a domed foam blender. I liked the effect, especially for the sky since it gave the impression of clouds. After the ink dried, I stamped a sentiment from the Wishing You Happiness stamp set using Versafine ink in Onyx Black.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Monday was a snowy day here in Maryland so I spent it in my studio. I’ve not done much Copic coloring lately and I’m really getting out of practice. So I decided to make the first project of the new year one with a clean and simple design where I can just color and not worry about the card layout. I also decided to use a stamp set that has been in my stash for awhile — BB Cute Chemists by My Favorite Things. It’s time to stop buying stamps and start using the dozens of stamps that I’ve purchased over the past year that remain unused! As always, I’ve linked the supplies below with compensated affiliate links used where possible at no cost to you.
To start, I stamped the image from the Cute Chemist stamp set with Hero Arts Intense Black ink on the lower left corner of a piece of Hammermill 110# paper cut to 4.25″ x 5.5″. Next, I colored the image with Copic markers (see list below). Then I stamped one of the sentiments from the stamp set on the lower right using Versafine ink in Onyx Black. Finally, I added a few silver metallic pearls from Pinkfresh Studio to mimic bubbles escaping from the beaker and test tube.
I feel a few more clean and simple cards in my future! Honestly, I can color quickly, but agonize for hours about the layout. Maybe it’s time to just keep it simple!
