HEY FRIENDS! Quick post today – I have another project and a new Copic coloring video featuring the Anita Jeram Bird Perch Mini stamp set by Colorado Craft Company. There’s a reason why this stamp set is called Bird Perch that would have been more obvious if I had remembered to stamp the bird. But the rabbit works by himself. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!

HEY FRIENDS! Today I have THREE cards using the Layering Peppermints Stencil by Simon Says Stamp. Now that July is here, it’s time to start thinking about holiday cards, especially those that can be made in bulk. Stencils make quick and easy backgrounds for cards so I experimented with three different layouts using the same products. As always, I’ve linked supplies with compensated affiliate links used where possible at no cost to you.
For the sentiment, I used the “Merry & Bright” stamp from the Printmaking Pines stamp set by Simon Says Stamp. I positioned the stamp in my Misti and placed a small piece of Mint Tape over the word “Merry.” I inked the stamp using Versafine Clair in Nocturne, removed the mask, and stamped the sentiment. This results in just the “& Bright” portion of the stamp appearing on the panel.
Trim panel to 2.75″ x 5″ or use the same size die in the Infinity Rectangle Die set to create a finished edge.
Cut a piece of striped design paper to 0.25″ x 2.75″ and adhere to the panel as shown (I used a sheet from the Black & White Stripes 6×6 Pad by MFT Stamps).

HEY FRIENDS! I’m back with another edition of Nancy and Jill Color Together! If you saw last month’s post, you know that Jill Killeen of Killeen House Studio asked me to participate in a monthly challenge with her where we would color the same image and see how we each interpreted it. This month we are featuring the Candle Light Digital Stamp by Whimsy Stamps. As always, I’ve linked supplies with compensated affiliate links used where possible at no cost to you.

I wanted soft colors and a simple card design and that’s what you see here. I printed the image on Hammermill cardstock and colored it with Copic markers. After coloring the image, I trimmed the panel with the Diagonal Stitched Rectangles die set. I stamped the sentiment from the Hero Arts Merry Christmas Messages stamp set using Versafine ink. The stamp set appears to be retired, but is available on Etsy and Ebay. I cut a A2 cardbase from Neenah Classic Crest, adhered a piece of Princess Pink cardstock cut to size, and assembled the layers as shown.
The coloring was a little tricky because I wanted the colors to be soft yet have some dimension. I underpainted the darker areas of the hat and scarf with V20, V22, V91, and V95 to provide some shape and then glazed with R81, R83 and R85 to get the final color. Since I had so many shades of pink, I used V0000, V20, and V91 to add contour to the snowman rather than my usual cool blue tones. This way, the snow has some shape while reflecting the tones of the hat and scarf. I just kept blending them until I got the softness I wanted.
We use digital stamps in our challenge and I know that some of you find that in and of itself to be a challenge. So I’ve got a video over on my YouTube channel showing how I print digital stamps for Power Poppy. Check it out!
So with no further ado – here is Jill’s interpretation!
Similar colors but she went darker, selecting her color palette from the design paper. I love how we can work with the same image, but come out with two different interpretations. Be sure you check out her blog post describing her card and give her post some love!

HEY FRIENDS! Today I have something a little different – a card with absolutely no Copic coloring! I pulled some dies and paper out of my stash, including the Corbel Collage Wafer Die by Simon Says Stamp. I love the beautiful tree design and while it would also be lovely as an inlaid design, I decided to keep it quick and simple with some ink blending. As always, I’ve linked supplies with compensated affiliate links used where possible at no cost to you.
Next, I cut a scrap of Hammermill cardstock and ink blended it using Distress inks in Rustic Wilderness, Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron (I don’t remember the exact dimensions, but it was sized slightly larger than the size of the Corbel die).
