HEY FRIENDS! Another morning of just coloring — no cards. Today I pulled out the Anita Jeram Topiaries & Kitttens stamp set by Colorado Craft Company. Coloring video below.

HEY FRIENDS! I’m back today with a project featuring the new Confection Collection release by Colorado Craft Company featuring birthday and related baking images by Kris Lauren. I did some tricky (but fun) merging of two stamp sets – Piece of Cake and Eat More Cake. When I saw these squirrels, I knew that I had to create a cake assembly line! Included below are the details for the blog hop and giveaways so be sure you stick around to the end of the post!
I don’t merge and mask images very often because it requires more patience than I generally possess, but I could see this card in my mind and masking was the only way to make it work. First, I stamped the center squirrel using Hero Arts Intense Black ink. I masked the center squirrel and stamped the cake and the squirrel on the left. Next, I masked off the area for the grass and blended it with Simon Says Stamp Positively Saturated Ink in Sprout. I used the MFT Stamps cloud stencil with Positively Saturated Ink in Tidepool to create the clouds. Then, I stamped the sentiment using Versafine and colored all the images with Copics (see list below). The squirrel in the foreground was much easier since I could use the Piece of Cake coordinating dies. Finally, I assembled all the layers as shown.

HEY FRIENDS! Today I have another project featuring the Anita Jeram Just Add Snow stamp set, part of the new release by Colorado Craft Company. I love the Anita Jeram bunnies (and mice and cats!) so I knew that I would have to color up this image. Cut card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# cardstock to 4.25″ x 11″ and score at 5.5″ for a top fold card.
Cut a piece of Hammermill cardstock to 4.25″ x 5.5″ and mask the top and sides at 0.75″ using Mint Tape (1 inch tape).
Stamp the image from the Anita Jeram Just Add Snow stamp set as shown using a Copic compatible ink (I used Memento in Tuxedo Black).
Stamp the image on a piece of Mint Tape (4 inch tape) or other masking paper. Fussy cut the image and mask the stamped image on the panel.
Mask the bottom panel below the stamped image to create a rectangle. At this point, the only exposed area is around the stamped image. See image for reference.
Ink blend the area around the image using Distress Ink in Salvaged Patina. I do this as a bse layer because it’s easier to ink blend multiple colors on top of ink instead of dry paper.
Starting at the top, ink blend from top to bottom using Distress Ink in Uncharted Mariner, Mermaid Lagoon, and Salvaged Patina.
Remove the masking over the stamped image and color with Copic markers (see marker list below).
Select the snow image from the Kittens and Mittens stamp set and position across the top of the image area. Stamp with Versamark Ink, cover with white embossing powder, and heat set.
Remove all the masking.
Stamp the sentiment using Versafine Clair in Nocturne.
Trim the panel using the Nesting Rectangle Infinity Dies from Hero Arts.
Assemble layers as shown.

HEY FRIENDS! It’s time for another edition of Nancy and Jill Color Together! As you know, Jill Killeen of Killeen House Studio asked me to participate in a monthly challenge with her where we would color the same image and see how we each interpreted it. This month was my turn to pick the image and I chose the Get Well Hydrangea Digital Stamp from Colorado Craft Company.

I’ve always loved blue hydrangeas so I knew right away the color combination that I would use. I decided to blow up the image so that it took up as much real estate as possible on the panel. From there, I kept the coloring simple, but the end result is pretty spectacular (if I may say so myself!) because the flower is taking center stage. I used the Hello die from the Basic Trios Die Set cut from metallic kraft paper for a little shine.
