Anita Jeram Christmas Hats by Colorado Craft Company

This one took a little engineering to put together. For the card base, I cut a piece of Neenah Classic Crest to 4.25″ x 11″ and scored at 5.5″.

For the image layer, I cut a piece of Hammermill Smooth White Cardstock to 4.25″ x 5.5″. I placed the Peekaboo Backdrop Die by Lawn Fawn on top of the card stock and lightly traced the inside of the windows with a pencil. Then I positioned the images and sentiments from the Anita Jeram Christmas Hats set inside the windows and stamped them with Nuvo Hybrid Ink in Black Shadow. I added one of the small snowflakes from the Big & Bold – Slimline Nordic Snowflakes set, stamped with Versafine Clair in Tulip Red. As a result, all the images were stamped and positioned in place on a single sheet of cardstock. The images were colored with the following Copic markers:

  • Cat: W1, W3, W5 (fur); R24, R46, R59, C1, C3 (hat); BV20 (shadow)
  • Insects: E51, E53, E55, C3, C5 (bodies); R24, R46, (hats); R24 (presents); BV20 (shadow)
  • Other animal that I can’t identify 🙂 : E51, E53, E55 (fur); R24, R46, R59, W1 (hat); BV20 (shadow)

I cut the Peekaboo Backdrop Die two times from white cardstock and once from Simons Says Stamp Cardstock in Fog Gray. I glued the frames together using Art Glitter glue. Once the frames were dry, I glued them into position on the image layer and then glued the card top to the card base as shown.

Ice Cream Kind of Day

HEY FRIENDS! It’s the first day of summer and here it Baltimore, it’s going to be hot and humid. We have a fabulous sno-ball stand at the end of my street and it’s going to be an ice cream kind of day. So to celebrate the first day of summer, I have TWO ice cream themed cards from Colorado Craft Company featuring images by Anita Jeram.

Rowhouse Greetings | Anita Jeram Sundae Funday & Anita Jeram Ice Cream Day Mini Stamps by Colorado Craft Company

I’ve linked all supplies with compensated affiliate links used where possible at no cost to you.

Today’s project features:

I’m still playing with my set of Zig Clean Color Brush Markers. I bought the set of twelve because it was available in my local Dick Blick art store, but as you know, I have full-set syndrome so I’ve been seriously tempted to buy a larger set. Going from 358 Copic markers to 12 Zig markers was quite an adjustment. But the reality is that my set of twelve has worked just fine and I recognize that at least for now, a bigger set is a want rather than a need.

Rowhouse Greetings | Anita Jeram Sundae Funday by Colorado Craft Company

I stamped the images on Strathmore 400 Series Watercolor Paper using Versafine in Onyx Black. I purchased the 5.5″ x 8.5″ pad because I can get two cards from each sheet without waste, but the paper comes in a variety of sizes. I colored the images using my Zig Clean Color Brushes (colors listed below) using a Zig Medium Water Brush. This is actually my favorite waterbrush, but it is getting harder to find so stock up if you find a source. Right now, the only place I can find them is on Amazon.

The Sunday Funday stamp set has its own sentiment, but it’s currently lost on my work table so I used the sentiment from Ice Cream Day set on both cards.

After I finished coloring the images, I used the Chunky A2 Rectangles die set from Simon Says Stamp to trim the watercolor paper. I used SSS Card Stock in Fog for the background. I like this particular color because it’s neutral and works with most of my cards.

That’s all for today! See you again soon.

Easy Gift Tags Featuring Holiday Happy by Stampendous!

HEY FRIENDS! I’m in a crazy whirlwind trying to get ready for Christmas. Luckily I’ve been making Christmas cards all year so they’re already made, so I’ve been making gift tags. I get hung up in card design – I can color an image in 15 minutes and then spend the next 8 hours trying to design the card. The nice thing about tags is that you can just color an image and cut it into a tag and you’re done!

When I was straightening up my craft room, I found that I had a couple of images already colored that I could quickly turn in to tags. You’ll probably recognize the images since I posted the finished cards earlier, but when I create a coloring video, I sometimes end up with extra colored images so I turned those extras into tags.

Be sure you look around your craft space! I bet there are some die cuts, colored images, or incomplete projects that you could quickly turn into gift tags. You can clean up your work space AND finish a few projects at the same time. For me, that’s a WIN / WIN!

Today I’ve got TWO tags to show you that I created from previously colored images! All three have coloring videos from when I made the cards so be sure you check them out. And as always, I’ve linked the supplies below with compensated affiliate links used where possible at no cost to you.

Featured products:

TAG 2

Rowhouse Greetings | Holiday Happy by Stampendous!
Image shows front and back of tag.

COPICS: BV000, E01, E50, E51, R20 (skin); T1, T3, T5, T7 (fur); R35, R46, R59 (scarf, gloves & skates); BV20, BV23 (shadows); BG0000, B000, BV000 (ice)

The image was too big for my tag die, so I used one of the dies from the Zig Zag Square Stackables by Lawn Fawn instead. The zig zag edge added a fun border to the tag.

Check out the card made with this image.
