Star Powered by RubberMoon Stamps

100 Moons Creative Collab

GOOD MORNING FRIENDS! This is my first post as a member of the 100 Moons Creative Collaborative! I’m here today with a project featuring a variety of stamps from RubbermoonArtFoamies, and 100 Proof Press.

I’ve been making a lot of cards lately. In these days of social distancing, sending happy mail can really brighten someone’s day.

This card has a little bit of everything going on – stamping, heat embossing, die cutting, and Copic coloring. The featured image is Jone Hallmark Star-Powered by RubberMoon. I used A LOT of products and supplies (so don’t faint when you see the supply list) but I bet that most of it is stuff readily available in your craft room. So if you don’t have the exact product that I used, I suspect you already have a great substitute.

FEATURING

I never remember to take process photos of my projects, so I often rely on videos to show you what I’ve done. I broke up the project into three parts, giving you plenty of time for breaks and to grab your beverage of choice. The videos are in real time so you can simply watch or check out the supply list below and craft along with me. So pull up a comfy chair and let’s roll the video!

Whew! That was a lot! But aren’t you glad you stuck it out to the end?!?

That’s it for me today. Hope you found some crafty inspiration! See you next time!

Please feel free to share your creations using #rubbermoon #100proofpress #artfoamies #100moonscollab on your social media. We will be so happy to see what you make with Rubbermoon,  100 Proof Press, and  Artfoamies products.

Disclosure: Below are the supplies I’ve used for today’s project. All items were personally purchased except those marked with an asterisk (*) which were provided by a store or design team. I never share a product I do not like. All opinions are my own. Read more.

Take Clover by RubberMoon Stamps

GOOD AFTERNOON FRIENDS! It’s been a bit of a scorcher outside today so I am staying inside with my Copic markers and will spend the day on various projects.

As many of you know, I was recently selected for the 100 Moons Collaborative Team (consisting of RubberMoon, ArtFoamies, and 100 Proof Press). Although my official debut on the 100 Moons blog isn’t until July 17th, I couldn’t resist coloring up this sweet image from RubberMoon Stamps. I’ve linked all supplies with compensated affiliate links used where possible at no cost to you.

The featured stamp is Jone Hallmark’s Taking Clover. I stamped the image on Copic compatible paper using Hero Arts Intense Black Ink and colored it with Copic markers (see list below). I trimmed the paper using Lawn Fawn’s Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables, a die set that I use on a regular basis.

After coloring the image, I selected a sheet of blue gingham design paper from the I Love Summer 6×6 pad by Echo Park Paper Co. I trimmed it so that there would be a 1/4 inc border around the entire colored image. I selected a sheet from the Summertime Polka Dots 6×6 pad by My Favorite Things, trimmed it to fit inside the stitching, and stamped the Claudia Rose – Dream stamp from Rubber Moon as the sentiment.

For the background, I stamped my card base with one of the stamps from the Flutterby Designs – Patterns set by Art Foamies. I used Distress Ink in Tattered Rose, which was a near perfect match to the polka dot design paper.

That’s it for today! Stay cool!

Mary Engelbreit Wishing Upon a Star by RubberMoon Stamps

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE! I’m back today with something a little different for me – a shadow box project featuring the new Mary Engelbreit stamps from RubberMoon available at The Queen’s Ink.

I’ve always loved Mary Engelbreit’s illustrations so I was thrilled to see that they are now available from RubberMoon, whose stamps are always high quality and give a great impression. The Queen’s Ink is carrying the entire Mary Engelbreit collection which includes stamps and washi tape.

This particular project is sized for a 5.5″ square shadow box. The steps are shown below.

Rowhouse Greetings | Mary Engelbreit Wishing Upon a Star

Project Steps

  • Cut white cardstock to 5.5″ x 5.5″
  • Ink blend background with Distress Inks – Wilted Violet, Shaded Lilac, Mermaid Lagoon.
  • Splatter background with water and blot dry as needed.
  • Splatter background with Nuvo Mica Mist in Violet Lustre, Nebula Blue, and Antique Gold.
  • Set background aside to dry thoroughly.
  • Stamp image on Copic compatible paper with an appropriate ink. I used Amalgam Ink from Gina K. Designs.
  • Color image with Copic markers as shown. Marker colors listed below.
  • Fussy cut image (the hat ribbon fell victim to my fuzzy cutting skills).
  • Stamp sentiment on background with Versafine ink in Onyx Black. Cover with clear embossing powder and heat set.
  • Apply foam adhesive squares to back of image and adhere to background.
  • With Swirling Stars die, cut stars from gold foil cardstock and glue to background.
  • Add drops of Nuvo Glitter Drops in Honey Gold to background.
  • Add Nuvo Crystal Drops to eyeglass lens.
  • Allow project to dry thoroughly.
  • Frame finished project.

The finished project will be on display at The Queen’s Ink so be sure to stop by and see it as well as the full line of Mary Englebreit images, which includes stamps, washi tape and stickers.
