Today’s Project

Rowhouse Greetings | Anita Jeram Magic Time by Colorado Craft Company
Anita Jeram Magic Time by Colorado Craft Company

MAGIC TIME
Size: 4.25″ x 5.5″
Featured Products:

The Magic Time stamp set includes 8 stamps: 3 images and 5 sentiments. The largest stamp is 4.5 x 4.75 inches and the smallest stamp is 0.4 x 0.25 inches. The stamps can be used with the coordinating Magic Time die set sold separately.

The On Broadway stamp set includes 13 stamps: 7 images and 6 sentiments. The largest stamp is
1.5 x 5.5 inches and the smallest stamp is 0.75 x 0.6 inches. The stamps can be used with the
coordinating On Broadway die set sold separately.

For this card, the images and sentiment were stamped on Hammermill smooth cardstock using Hero Arts Intense Black ink. The images were colored with Copic markers (see list below). After the image was colored, I trimmed the panel to 4″ x 5.25″ and masked a frame on two sides using Mint Low Tack Tape. Using Distress Ink in Antique Linen, I ink blended the left side and lower corner using a domed foam blender. I cut a piece of Cement Gray cardstock from My Favorite Things to 4.25″ x 5.5″ and adhered it to a top-folding A2 cardbase made from Neenah 110# Classic Crest cardstock. Card was assembled as shown.

I’ve included a new Copic coloring video for today’s project. You can check it out below or watch it HERE on YouTube.

Dragonfly Ride by House Mouse Designs

GOOD MORNING FRIENDS! Today’s card it a little bit of a throwback to my early coloring days. When I first started coloring, most of my early images were from House Mouse Designs. As time passed, I started coloring images from other stamp companies, but I still have a soft spot for Amanda, Monica, Mudpie, Maxwell and Muzzy. So today’s card features Monica and friend on a Dragonfly Ride!

When planning my project, I decided to start with the stenciling. I didn’t want to have to recolor the image if I made a mistake with the stenciling. So I die cut the paper and stamping the image so I would know where to position the stenciling. Using Distress Ink in Tumbled Glass, I carefully stenciled around the image. Then I colored the image with Copic markers and heat embossed the sentiment. I added Wink of Stella in Clear to the dragonfly wings for a little extra shimmer.

That’s it for today! See ya soon!

Fun with Stencils: Class Wrap Up

GOOD MORNING FRIENDS! Just finished up another class at Photo Scraps yesterday featuring different techniques and products to use with stencils. Everyone had a good time and hopefully will be inspired to incorporate stencils into their projects.

Since I ran out of paper AND printer ink when I was preparing the card kits, I wasn’t able to give everyone my usual handout listing all of the products. So as promised I am following up today with the product information. Tracy and Lisa asked that I offer another stencil class later in the year. Stay tuned! I’m thinking about ways to incorporate stencils into holiday cards!

And be sure to join me TODAY from noon to 3:00PM at the Photo Scraps Yard Sale. Arrive early for the best deals!
